Organic JAS and Our Future Vision
We are pleased to announce that our company officially received JAS Organic certification on September 1, 2025.
With this certification, we now have the capability to process organic tea leaves
—carefully cultivated in Kagoshima Prefecture's Osumi Peninsula, particularly in Kinko Town—
through our integrated organic processing system in a safe and secure environment.
As "a company that gives form to the thoughts of growers,"
we remain dedicated to supporting the growth of our region's organic tea industry
and promoting sustainable tea production practices. We are committed to creating tea products
that our customers can choose with complete confidence.
KOJ Co.,Ltd Kagoshima Office
Koyo Orient Japan Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Ageo City, Saitama Prefecture.
In September 2022, we opened a new branch office in Kinko Town, Kagoshima Prefecture—an area renowned for its tea production.
This new venture was inspired by our founder and current Chairman, who was born and raised in the Tashiro district of Kinko Town.
Witnessing the town’s decline due to population loss, he felt a strong desire to give back to his hometown.
His wish to support the local community led to the establishment of the Kagoshima Branch.
Today, we handle everything in-house—from tea leaf powder processing to nitrogen packaging,
and beginning in July 2025, we will also offer tea bag processing.
Our future goal is to obtain organic JAS certification and to develop a fully integrated production process for organic tea products.
Our team of six dedicated staff members work closely with local tea producers
to create and deliver high-quality products through custom processing and sales.
The Kagoshima Branch is located in a former classroom of the old Kamikawa Junior High School.
Surrounded by the lush nature of Kinko Town, the office enjoys fresh air and a peaceful, slow-paced environment.
It is in this calm setting that we carefully process our tea—one batch at a time—
with great care and respect for both the product and the people who enjoy it.
